This resource is based on balls and would appeal to children who enjoy ball games and like their hobbies to be brought into their class work.
The activities will help young children who are learning to count in 2s or older children who need some extra help and support in this area.
There is a simple outline of a suggested lesson plan including an idea for a starter and ending activity.
- 3 worksheets where children count the pairs of balls and write the number in a box. Then colour the number in a number grid at the bottom and look to see if they can spot a pattern.
- 3 worksheets where children count the number of bounces a ball makes after it is thrown and each bounce is worth two points.
- 3 worksheets where balls in a sack are worth 2 points each and the child must find the correct numeral from underneath and match if to the sack.
