I created these cards to use with my significantly cognitively impaired students who need to work on number recognition and counting. The activity also reinforces sight words, fluency, color words, sorting by color, and other foundational skills.
Print on cardstock, cut, and laminate for durability if desired. Use with teddy bear counters. Read the sentence, identify the numeral, select the collect colored bear, and place the correct number of bears on the card.
This product contains three different versions of the activity to provide scaffolding. The original activity has the color words written in the color that they say and the color dots below the sentence to indicate how many bears are needed. The second version does not have any dots, so the student has to correctly count the bears on their own. The third version does not have any dots AND the color word is written in black so the student has to actually read the color word.
