Country Research Project: Scrapbook

Description
Whether students are reading a novel with a foreign setting or need to build background knowledge on a country before starting a History unit, the scrapbook project will see students engage in research with a fun, informative activity! Students will conduct research about various aspects of a country and create a scrapbook as an artifact of their learning. The activity will aid students’ comprehension by building their background knowledge about the country being studied. Rather than wondering about what characters are talking about or basic facts, they will have already developed an understanding that allows for deeper engagement with the subject matter.
