This is a project that I have completed with my classes many times in the past, but never really had a good, solid packet for the kids to work in. This is a project that takes a few weeks to complete, especially if you’re completing all components in school. The main point is to have students fully research two countries, and then compare and contrast these countries in a comparative essay, while completing a few other activities to deepen understanding. The project culminates with a final presentation presenting all activities to classmates.
Below is a list of the different assignments students will need to
complete for the research project. Of course, feel free to pull pieces out or add new parts in:
*Country Information Data Sheets (1 for each country)
*Did you know lists (one for each country)
*Poster (this will be an at home project)
There is also a parent letter attached to the back of the at-home poster assignment explaining the details of this project.
Please know that this project requires a lot of research and time. I'm just giving a fair warning. :)
Thanks for looking and I hope your students enjoy and learn a ton! As always, if you see any changes that need to be made, please let me know and I’ll update ASAP.
