Students will individually or with partners create a magazine that captures the essence of the course. Students are asked to reflect on what they have learned throughout the course and choose three elements that are most significant to them. This project can work for any subject.
Recommended for grades 9 through 12
This assignment is your final task in our course. As you complete this assignment, you will be expected to critically analyze and present the essential parts of the lessons and subjects you found effective and informative throughout the duration of the course. Ask yourself the question: What three things do I remember most? What activities or events stand out for me? You will also add personal elements to your magazine with the goal of making the magazine fun to read, creative and nicely designed. The main goal is to create a document that is helpful to other people who may be considering taking the course. Use the Final Reflection sheet attached to help get your ideas flowing.
You may create this magazine in printed form or create an online/digital version of your magazine.
You should be honest with your critique and fair with your evaluation. Use your course notes and classmates as resources. Be prepared to present your magazine to the class. A complete marking guide rubric is attached.
