Cover Up: This game is themed for Halloween festivities. Cover Up is a great game to exercise the skills of number recognition, set recognition, and one-to-one correspondence. The game can be used for one student as independent practice, pairs, or small group. Print the document and laminate. Cut the candy squares into individual pieces. Each child playing should have a trick or treat bag page. Prompt the students to roll the dice. Use either a number dice or regular dice; depending on the skill being worked on. The student will roll the dice and cover up that many trick or treat bags with the candy pieces. Example: If the student rolls a 4, he or she will cover up 4 trick or treat bags with the candy pieces. If playing in pairs or a small group, the first person to cover up all the trick or treat bags wins the game.
Alternate: Use real candy pieces to cover up the trick or treat bags! (Skittles, M&Ms)
