Coyote vs Rabbit! is a cooperative game; differentiated activity; covers very basic skills, but looks like a “big kid” game – great for special education or intervention!!
Use this game for math intervention for students in Grades 2-5. They engage with the photographs and are motivated to play the game because it does not “look” like a first grade level activity. Students absolutely love this game and often play over and over again. It also can start some great conversations about the animals in the photographs!
Roll two dice and add. If the sum is a 7, you mark off a Rabbit. If the sum is any other number mark off the Coyote number. The winner is the Coyote if all the Coyote numbers are marked off first. If all 7 Rabbits are marked off, the Rabbit wins.
