How to use:
- If your students are unfamiliar with visual note-taking, it is a good idea to show them a few examples, or possibly show them how others create visual notes (see this blog post for good video examples and this blog post for more info about the merits of visual note-taking). Or visit the Math Giraffe doodle notes webpage.
- Once your students are familiar with visual note-taking, hand out the worksheets and give students some pre-reading/viewing time.
- Show the CrashCourse videos and allow students to take notes during the videos. Depending on your class, it may be a good idea to pause the video occasionally, or even show it twice.
- Once students are finished watching, give them time to finalize their notes. Then discuss the notes as a class.
- Follow-up activities are varied, please see the specific episodes for more ideas.
