This easy game is fun to play and lets students get LOTS of practice with weather vocabulary. And they get super dramatic when they get the volcano eruption card! These cards can also be used to play Memory or Go Fish.
Students ask their partner How's the weather?/¿Qué tiempo hace? The other student flips over a card and answers. But if the Volcano eruption/¡Erupción volcánica! card is played then the other player has to pick up all the cards in the discard pile. The first person to get rid of all their cards is the winner. Great for LOTS of repetitions with the vocabulary. Also great for a center activity or fast finisher.
Included are cards in English & Spanish and in color and black & white.
Spanish vocabulary included in this activity:
Está soleado. Está nublado. Está lluvioso. Está nevando. Está parcialmente nublado. Hace viento. Hace frío. Hace calor.
Spanish vocabulary varies from country to country and resource to resource. If the above doesn't match what you're teaching please contact me and I can change the cards to the phrases you need!
Goes great with my other weather themed activities:
Spin & Draw/Gira y dibuja How's the Weather? ¿Qué tiempo hace?
