This is a great introductory activity/lesson for your Government class, as it encourages students to consider key questions about the roles and powers of government. Students will work together in groups to consider what type of government system they wish to implement and then they must work together to figure out the powers and limits of their government. Throughout the activity, students will discuss issues such as term limits, voting qualifications, the role and involvement of government, the economy, defense, public services, and more! The product includes a student handout, a new Constitution sheet, a participation points template, and teacher instructions about implementation in the classroom. This activity is engaging and will prompt great beginning of the year/semester discussions for any government class!
