Baking and chemistry go hand in hand, so why not let kids delve into the science behind baking cookies? This inquiry project leads you and your class through the process of exploring cookie recipes, designing your own cookie recipe and then baking and taste testing your recipes. It also includes student and teacher evaluation sheets. This project is perfect for an exploration into heat, chemical reactions or cooking.

This is a great project to do during the holiday season, when many people are doing their holiday baking. However, it truly would work year round.
