This activity requires students to work together (or independently) to create a dystopian society using characteristics of dystopian literature. Finished product reflects nine different elements of dystopian literature.
Students should be familiar with dystopian characteristics before beginning this activity. Assignment works well in conjunction with novels such as The Giver, The Hunger Games, Farenheit 451 and other dystopian novels.
Assignment includes instructions, planning chart and rubric for grading.
This project includes standards that cover fiction genres, technology skills, writing skills, oral and verbal communication and presentation skills.
