Description

This creative writing activity asks students to create a superhero based on standards set in modern comic book and Hollywood blockbusters. This graphic organizer asks students about their superhero's citizen information as well as their superpowers. There are questions asking them to create a well-rounded character and it encourages imaginative activity. There is also a space to sketch your superhero. This makes a great activity for sub days at any secondary grade level!

This activity can be expanded into a full unit, where students design their character, present them to the class, write that character's origin story, and finish with an on-demand adventure tale using a surprise writing prompt and involving other superheroes from their classmates' imaginations. My students absolutely love this whole unit! Click here for access to the full unit materials!
