Who doesn't love going to the zoo? What student doesn't want to design their own zoo. Well now they can!
In this mini unit, students will use their skills that they have learned in using area and perimeter. This mini unit has two pages of grid squares. The students will cut and paste them next to each other and use those to help guide in area and perimeter.
The students label area by counting the square's to find the square area. The students then measure around the perimeter to either the nearest full inch or half an inch, up to what the teacher wants. They then label both the area and perimeter of their exhibit.
