This activity helps students to understand the different ways that a speed graph can look when an object is speeding up, slowing down, not moving, etc. In the first part, they are given a detailed step-by-step story about an object in motion. Given this information, they create a graph that includes many different types of motion. On the back, students are given 4 less detailed stories and create graphs from these stories. Overall, this worksheet reinforces SPEED and MOTION GRAPHS.
