AN AMAZING ACTIVITY TO PROMOTE HIGHER-ORDER THINKING WITHIN THE REALM OF FRACTIONS!

On each of the accompanying worksheets, there is a given answer in a candy jar in the form of a fraction. Below the answer are two boxes for problems #1 and #2. In each of the boxes, the student is to write a problem whose answer is that which is shown in the candy jar.

For problem #1, it is acceptable for the student to give a problem that contains fractions with like denominators. For problem #2, the student must write a problem that contains fractions with different denominators.
