Students love playing games and too many have not played many board games. I don't want the students to lose the fun of playing games with a group of friends. This project allows students to work in groups and research the second half of the 20th century and instead of just taking notes, students turn their notes into cards and their information into a board game. Each student will have a specific task. Then other groups play their completed games!!! This has always been a fun project for my students as they learn by researching, creating, and playing a game. They will also market their game by designing and performing a commercial. Included are directions, rubric, and roles template for teacher.
