Ancient Greece City State Map Project
This fun Ancient Greece resource encourages student creativity and understanding of how Greek city states looked and were designed.
Students use the map to create their own Greek city-state/polis based on their understanding how how the Greeks adapted to their terrain. Simple directions have them adding an acropolis, agora, and more to create an authentic-looking Greek polis.
After completing the map, students move on to a set of questions asking why they placed each part of the city state where it is and finally a 3rd page where students describe what life was like inside their city state.
This is an excellent resource to start off a unit on Ancient Greece and makes for a great companion resource to the Ancient Greece Geography and Early People PowerPoint
