This file includes printables to help your students create a writing folder. I create writing folders by stapling together two pocket folders that have brad inserts. Students color, decorate and glue the cover sheet to the front. Then students add the hole punched sheets to the first folder. This becomes their "reference section".
The second folder we fill with lined paper. When I do a mini lesson on a writing topic, students will write notes onto the lined paper. My children use loose leaf paper for writing time and keep the stories in the pockets. You could certainly change up the way you use the folders to suit your needs.
