This is a full and comprehensive unit for teaching basic color science to Grade One students. I've aligned this unit with the Alberta curriculum, though many of the outcomes may overlap in your home state. This unit also includes two self-assessments and two summative assessments with answer keys and teacher scripts, as well as 20+ pages of lesson aids. Distinguish colors that are transparent from those that are not. Students should recognize that some colored liquids and gels can be seen through and are thus transparent and that other colors are opaque.
