Extremely engaging, this activity leads students through analyzing two different real-world transformations and then constructing effective metaphors about them. A great way to introduce a poetry or other writing unit, this activity is also great on a day that you are looking for something fun yet still educational.

Included in this activity are step-by-step instructions as well as hints and suggestions to make it run smoothly.

This activity is designed to be done in class and works well with a wide variety of ages and ability levels.
