Files created with GOOGLE APPS can be easily shared between the student and teacher. At times, the classroom teacher can be overwhelmed with numerous files being shared with the teacher in an unorganized way from various students from various different courses.
This teaching strategy shows the teacher how to create shared folders in GOOGLE DRIVE for each individual student in a particular course. The student would submit any required submitted items to their respective submissions folder( which is only shared with their teacher). The teacher will then be able to access the student's individual folder to evaluate any submissions that are required by the teacher throughout the course.
This strategy is also a good way hold the student accountable and responsible to submitting their items to a specific folder for the class (their submissions folder).
The folder can also be used for record keeping (in terms of submitted items throughout the year, term or semester). It is also a good strategy for providing feedback to the student in terms of their submitted items.
