Looking for an activity that makes marketing segmentation come alive for your students? Have them create life-size customer profiles! In this activity, students will work in pairs, pick a product card from the teacher, and work to create a life-size customer profile on butcher paper/bulletin board paper for the "average customer" who would be in the market for that product. This is a great way to get students using demographic, psychographic, geographic, and behavioral segmentation to identify who their target market is for a product!
Activity includes student instruction sheet with grading rubric on it, graphic organizer for students to complete before creating their life-size customer profile, and product cards to be cut apart by the teacher. Entire activity took my class about an hour and half to complete and an additional 20-30 minutes to present.
