The first worksheet is a template for a "Do Now" activity. Students can use candy to create and extend various candy patterns. The next three worksheets are based on the same objective but have been modified to three different levels. For worksheet A, students will use only different shapes and colors to create patterns. For worksheets B and C, students will use numbers to create patterns. Students will then have to determine the rules they used. For example: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 would have the rule "multiply by two".
