I created this resource for some of my students who struggle with putting together a complete sentence.
There are example sentences and a slide that can be used as a template. Keep it out as a reference when students are working on creating their own sentences.
Put Velcro dots in the rectangles on the slide with the black boxes. The next slide should have a strip of Velcro so that students can put the cards on in any order to create a sentence. Sometimes I have my students write or type their final sentences but I don’t to that every time.
Copy the colored rectangles onto card stock and laminate to make them more durable. Add Velcro to the back of each so students can use them to make sentences. I cut he round Velcro dots in half before putting them on the word cards to use less Velcro.

I used past tense verbs and simple words to make it easier while students were learning to construct sentences. Once students were able to create sentences more independently, we worked on rewriting their sentences in present tense. We also worked on using synonyms for some of the words.
