This activity uses the classic "mash-up" game that students know to reinforce a wide variety of vocabulary. It can be used as a whole-class activity, with partners, or as an assignment. Students roll a die and count through choices, gradually eliminating options until the imaginary friend's identity is set.
A bank of 27 different topics is included which allows teachers to customize the sheet to focus on target vocabulary. Topics include pets, physical descriptions, clothing, emotions, and more.
As options are eliminated, you can practice oral negative structures ("D'accord: il n'a pas 3 chats"...). At the end, students can orally present their new friend.
Two versions are provided: one that has 5 characteristics and a box to illustrate them, and one with 6 that asks students to write sentences as well as to illustrate.
