I created this product for my fourth grade Religion classes, as a way to promote creative thinking about God’s gifts of creation. The possibilities are endless for how you might use these Creation Circles, but here are a couple of options that can work for multiple grade levels:
~ Give each student three Creation Circles – two that could be characters in a story, and one that could be the setting of a story. Invite students to plan, draft, and publish a story that places these characters in this setting.
~ Turn the Creation Circles into necklaces and distribute them to each student. Use them as a way to recognize and celebrate God’s gifts of creation. (I used them in this way with my first grade PSR class – I wrapped two necklaces in a small gift bag, and and gave one to each student. We opened them at the same time, marveled at the gifts we had received, and noted that these gifts are given for all of us to share and protect.)
~ Have students choose an assortment of Creation Circles. Discuss ways in which we can be good stewards of creation, and list ways we can protect these resources.
Thank you for taking a look!
