In an effort to increase the ways that students can demonstrate their understanding of texts read, I have designed some hands-on and crafty alternatives to book reports! This is the 1st in a series called Fun & Creative Book Reports by Classy Gal Designs and Publishing. It will work with any fiction novel or story.
Students will need these materials: a file folder, glue, scissors, crayons, pencils, a couple of paperclips and the printables.
They will build a “case file” based on the book they just read. The interactive graphic organizers will ask them to:
List the author, title, and illustrator, build a character list, identify setting, provide text evidence, tell a favorite part, make connections, summarize, describe the conflict and changes in the main character, draw visualizations, and describe imagery used in the text. You students will love writing this book report!
Have a wonderful day and thank you for shopping Classy Gal Designs & Publishing.
