UPDATED! In this activity, students analyze a speaker using a combination of illustrations and textual evidence. They consider the speaker and her/her purpose through various lenses -- the different appeals (ethos, pathos, logos), the particular audience, the persona the speaker adopts, and the devices used to get across his/her message.
