Description

Get your students excited about writing with this engaging creative writing activity! Roll a Setting helps your students write a rich setting description with the help of a little luck. Students will roll for their setting elements, brainstorm, and then get writing! Since students will be rolling for time, place, mood, and atmosphere, this resource also helps them review the literary terms associated with setting.

This activity works digitally with the help of a handy dice script. (Click here for a quick preview!) This resource includes a printable version as well with two attractive writing pages. Use completed stories as a creative bulletin board idea for any time of the year. If you're in a pinch, post one of these activities to the learning management system of your choice for a quick substitute assignment your students will actually want to complete!
