This is a handout for creative writing class, and can be used for multiple grade levels. In this assignment, students will need to incorporate ten (or more) specific adverbs into their writing. There is a list of adverbs from which they can choose. This creative writing exercise encourages them to add description, and think about how they can add writing and interest to their story. If you'd like to make the assignment a bit more demanding for your more advanced students, there is also a list of adjectives. Those students will need to incorporate ten of those into their writing as well.
As far as the length, style, genre of the story, there are no requirements given. You can customize that for your class, or just leave it open and let them be creative. This makes for a fun and challenging activity, and students seem to enjoy doing it. They might also learn some new vocabulary words in the process!
