Creative Writing Paper: I call this pack "Pattern Paragraphs", but it can be used for more than just a paragraph. This pack is a fun way for me to offer my pattern style pages that teachers and kids love. My original Pattern Portraits are a big hit, so please do check those out.
NOTE: Because these have so many cool patterns going in all different directions, you may want to print 'as image'. This can help lessen the chance of any random thin lines. Just go into your advanced printer settings and click that option rather than 'print to file'.
Big kid coloring is so popular, so this is the perfect way to work a little coloring into your upper elementary writing activity. This is a fun pack of holiday themed writing paper (seasonal themed for some) that can be used for any genre of writing, whether it be journal writing, creative writing, expository writing, personal narratives, or a even a reflection of a holiday lesson There are so many uses as to how you might incorporate this paper pack into your lessons.
These can be perfect for your sub plans too if you need an activity that take a little extra time. They are also fun to use at the start of each month for early finishers.
The pages do NOT have writing prompts. Kids get to be creative and come up with their own ideas. You could also give them a writing prompt if you want.
Each page has multiple patterns to color, a title banner along the top of the page, and a holiday themed image. The finished product makes a nice hallway or bulletin board display.
I have even included a title page that says "Pattern Paragraphs", so you can create a year-long book if you would like. I've also included a cover page without a title if kids want to create their own.
You can use this writing paper throughout the year, as I have included 14 patterns!! If you have a writing center, you could keep this holiday paper on hand and students can choose a pattern each month.
The themed images are: Crayons, Ghost, Pumpkin, Turkey, Gingerbread Man, Snowflake, Valentine Envelope, Easter Egg, Shamrock, Earth, Butterfly, Sunglasses, Uncle Sam/Patriotic Hat, and Birthday Gift.
There are also 3 pages without a holiday theme if you have students that don't participate in holiday celebrations.
Your student are sure to love this ‘write and color’ paper, and I feel positive it will motivate your students to write – even your most reluctant writers will enjoy using these sheets.
14 holiday/seasonal themed pages, 3 with no pictures
