Lesson seven is about book cover design, because what is a book without a cover? Rather than focus on the technical aspects of design, we take a bigger picture approach here. What is a cover supposed to accomplish? What information should it convey? What are the common elements, and how do they affect the final product?

This unit consists of a 10 minute lecture (with optional handout), plus three activities to walk students through designing their own cover.
