Want a new way to assess student projects and work? Why not look for the creativity displayed in the finished product. This creativity rubric assesses the student's ability to plan, implement, and connect their project.
Creativity asks for three aspects. 1) For the student to take command of the decision process and have a clear vision for their project that they are able to see through. 2) For the student to be able to implement the impossible and create the unexpected. Which would look different for each student. To give a wow factor and surprise you and their peers in unexpected ways. 3) For the student to make connections to prior learning showing that they are plugged in to the lessons they have received.
Challenge your students to show creativity in their next project.
