These lessons use the NASA Design Cycle to teach these dimensions of creativity: fluid thinking, flexible thinking, original thinking, and elaboration.
Lessons 1-7 each have a STEM challenge to support the creative thinking concept. Lesson 8 wraps up the unit and includes a student reflection. Lessons include materials to check for prior knowledge, label key questions for the students to think about during the investigation, step-by-step instructions for each STEM challenges, as well as ideas to help make connections between creativity and engineering with your students.
Materials used for each challenge are everyday items, but can easily be modified or substituted as needed.
