Crenshaw is a level Q (Guided Reading) story about a boy whose imaginary friend from childhood comes back into his life during a stressful time. Used as a Social Issues book in my class, some students struggle with stopping and jotting, or thinking about what they are reading, as they read. These guided Stop and Jots allow the students to be prompted when top stop and jot, as well as monitor their comprehension of the story. Just follow directions to print the jots on post-its. I add the post-its to each student's copy of the book so they have them as they read along.
