Crime Scene Memory Activity

This can be used as an icebreaker activity or as part of the memory section of the Cognition unit in Psychology or AP Psychology.

Students are allowed to view a picture for three minutes that depicts a crime scene and try to memorize as much as they can. After the three minutes is up, they turn the sheet over and try to answer fifteen questions about what they saw without referring back to the picture.

Students are able to test their memory, and the activity then leads in to further discussions on fallacies of memory, the value(less) of crime scene eyewitnesses, etc.
