Product Description
These are my inquiry based lessons for Fyodor Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment within my Meaningful Existence Unit. The lessons are based on questions I pose about the text that are in turn answered by students in small groups. We conclude this text with a test to measure comprehension of the novel because we don't have time to write a paper at the very end of our semester. This leads to an end of unit Synthesis Essay that asks students to answer our guiding question (see reading and writing schedule) in a 4-5 page argumentative essay using all three texts from the unit (The Metamorphosis, The Stranger, and Crime and Punishment) for support.
