PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NO PREP. Following the French and Indian War, England was deeply in debt. The British Parliament believed that the colonists should help pay for the military support they received in the war, so they passed a series of new taxes.

This worksheet asks students to outline the taxes implemented by Parliament on the British colonists, both points of view on why taxes were/weren't necessary, defining key words like boycott and repeal, while asking students to reflect on their own viewpoints on the tax issue.

Used in 7th grade history class. Great classwork or homework. Answer key included.
