Project Goals: The Goal of this workbook is to support the assignment of creating and presenting a proposal to a board of investors (TC Investors) who are seeking to invest in a Critical Action Project (CAP) right here in the local community (Project Description Sold Separately at https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Critical-Action-Project-United-Nations-Sustainable-Development-Goals-3956716).
This critical action project needs to focus on changing the course of history through action – addressing how history would be changed if the chosen issue/challenge/topic were not addressed, selecting an issue that the United Nations has deemed of critical importance as well.
Throughout this workbook, students will be thinking, researching and creating a piece of work to be presented as their final for this class as a proposal towards solving one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Students will be graded on their ability to meet various checkpoints and answer questions as laid out in this workbook and your effort towards solving a Critical Action Issue of their choice from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
This workbook will take students through the decision process in choosing a goal, developing original questions, identifying stakeholders, building solutions and creating and testing prototypes. 13 checkpoints in all, prepare students for their presentation on combatting a Sustainable Development Goal as stated by the UN and occurring in their local community.
