This unit provides a foundational understanding of economics and economic systems in order to lead students to an understanding of what "class" actually means, and how "class" relates to systems of oppression. Terms covered by this unit include economics, capitalism, Communism, Socialism, meritocracy, trickle-down economics, the New Deal, poverty, and of course, "class."
