Here's a critical thinking activity for students to discuss how building designs would vary from areas with little to no earthquake risk to areas with greater risk. They also evaluate the pros and cons and building a hypothetical factory in three different locations and determine which they believe is the best location. The activity can be completed and debriefed in about 20-30 minutes.
