Help students develop mathematical reasoning and critical thinking with these 30 engaging task cards.
Copy the task cards on card stock, laminate, and cut apart. They work very well as a rotation/station/center and can be shared in several ways:
Students can choose a card to work on independently;
Students can work with a partner;
You can present one task to a small group or the entire class as a Problem of the Day/Week. This can be a very rich opportunity for students to see the different ways a common problem can be approached and solved.
I recommend keeping work and answers in a journal or special folder for later reference.
I’ve included answer sheets that can be copied front-to-back or included in an interactive notebook.
