This is a set of printable cards with question prompts on them to help teach Kindergarten and First Grade critical thinking skills. The questions are aligned with both Bloom's Taxonomy and Webb's Depth of Knowledge, so no matter which of these two thought taxonomies you use, you should be able to use these cards! Questions range from the most simple levels to the most complex levels at the top of each "pyramid," but are designed to be “do-able” even Kindergartners and First Graders could answer them. They are also designed to be adaptable to just about any story!
The last page and a half also has some critical thinking games that are fun to play with little ones. These activities are all fantastic for developing oral language, and many would also work as writing prompts for children that are ready for that!
There are 18 cards, not counting the cards with the pictures of the thinking pyramids on them. Files are included in both color and black & white, as an ink saving option. At the end of this file is a free sample of Heidi's Critical Thinking Comparison Cards
. Including the sample, this file is 15 pages long. Enjoy!!
