I created these forms for students to respond to different texts they read so they can then write a review...similar to a movie, television or broadway play critic...and very much like Lemar Johnson does on Reading Rainbow. First, students have to write a concise summary of the book (lower level writing task) explaining briefly what it's about, and then they have write a recommendation to peers about the book including their reasons for liking or not liking the book (higher level task).
Evaluation forms included for the following texts: book, article, video, audio, movie, blog, website, summary, peer, speech, journal, poem, myth, drama, podcast, fable, recipe, literature, research, experiment, critique.
