After reading a book, students can complete a Critic's Corner book review for others to decide if they'd like to read the book for themselves. On the back side of the book review are suggestions, sentence starters, on how to complete a good book review and an example of a very good book review (without giving away the ending). There are two book reviews per sheet. You can copy them double sided with the review on one side and the examples on the back, cut them in half and your students are ready to become book Critics. To display, I hole punch the complete book reviews (two holes) and then I hang them on the wall. I use the rings of a three-ring binder (I cut off the binder covers) and screwed the three-ring part to the wall. That way, I can layer book reviews on top of each other and the kids can easily look through them when looking for a book to read.
