This upper elementary art lesson was professionally designed and classroom tested for art educators interested in teaching the creative cycle. This is an appropriate lesson for those educators who use a studio approach or are looking for a conceptual lens in the world of reproductions.
I am super excited to announce that included in this lesson, includes a kid friendly PowerPoint with audio to guide and pace the lesson! My students love anything with a video or audio component- and this lesson is a grand slam in my art room! The PowerPoint introduces students to the critique portion of the creative cycle. Students learn what it means to critique work and give feedback to a peer. There is time built in the lesson and Presentation for you to model the feedback process with the students using the instructional strategy, I do, we do, you do.
The lesson is aligned to Common Core and Colorado Academic Standards for Visual Art and includes a scope & sequence planning document that identifies learning goals, I can statements, essential questions, writing & verbal tasks and a variety of formative and summative assessments.
Have fun critiquing with your kiddos!
If you experience any issues or have feedback for me- it is always appreciated!
