This is a concise critique handout made to go along with your syllabus during the first few days of any high school Art class. In plain, conversational language it describes what a critique is and how it will look in the classroom. Most importantly it sets up a conversation about why it is a crucial skill.
In my experience this has helped to set a good tone in my room around critiques.
This handout can be used:
1. In the beginning of the quarter, semester, or year as part of your syllabus.
2. To begin your first critique with a new high school Art classes.
3. To share with parents at Open Houses.
