This simple game is differentiated for your students to practice two digit, three digit, and four digit subtraction. All your students need is a die, pencil, and recording sheet! Below are the teacher directions and student directions.
Print the Crocodile Cards and “Crocodile Rock and Roll Cards” front and back and cut out.
Print copies of the differentiated recording sheets.
Give one die per pair of students.
How to Play
Find a classmate that has the same version of recording sheet as you.
The taller player goes first.
The first player rolls the die and records in his/her first box. Repeat rolling until all boxes are filled.
When the equation is complete, the player will find his/her difference.
The second player rolls the die, fills his/her boxes, and finds his/her difference.
The player will the greatest difference receives a crocodile card.
The player with the most crocodile cards at the end of the game wins!
