In this lesson students will:
· solve a design challenge creating an artwork that reflects non-western and western styles respectively.
· investigate and experiment with non-western techniques particularly those of Japanese and Chinese ink painting using the Creative Process.
· use the Critical Analysis Process to demonstrate an understanding of examining, interpreting, evaluating, and reflecting on their own art work
I use this lesson with grade 11 classes it could easily be used for grade 10 or 12 classes as well.
